Aug 20 - Camp spot on the end of day 2 is at the Silviculture Camp on the north east end of Adams Lake. This is a large scenic site right next to the lake and should accommodate all the RVs on the ride. The only services available are outdoor toilets. Gas for ATVs must be brought in by the support. Aug 21 - Camp at north end of Shuswap Lake near Seymour Arm. The camp spot has not been finalized but expect dry camping in an open field. Aug 22. - Camping in Revelstoke at your choice. Q. What about support vehicles? A. Riders will have a choice of bringing their camping gear, food etc on their ATV picking up gas at Clearwater and Seymour Arm or having a support vehicle to supply gas, food and shelter. There is accommodation available at Clearwater and if booked well in advance, there is s small hotel in Seymour Arm. With advance planning, riders may be able to share support vehicles re carrying food and gas. Also, there will be many support vehicles with trailers but no ATV to haul who should be able to carry various items for riders. If you do have a support vehicle, then here are the routes they can take Aug 19 - RV's by highway.to Clearwater Aug 20 - RV's by highway 5 to Vavenby and on FSR to Camp at Siviculture site on Adams Lake. Aug 21 - The RVs have a choice of three routes to travel from Adams Lake site to Seymour Arm.
Route 1: Retrace the FSR route to Vavenby, Hwy 5 to Kamloops, TCH to Squilax where you cross the Little River to Squilax/Anglemont paved road on the north side of Shuswap Lake to St. Ives and then on a good wide FSR for some 45 km to Seymour Arm. Route 2: Drive on a good wide FSR for some 85 km on the west side of Adams Lake, a paved road to join up to the Squilax /Anglemont paved road. From this point on it is the same as route 1 to Seymour Arm. Route 3: Follow the same FSR as used by the ATVs. This road can be rough and narrow in spots so not recommended for large RVs. Aug 22 – The RVs have a choice of two routes from Seymour Arm to Perry River at TCH. Route 1: Retrace the route from Seymour Arm to the TCH at Squilax. Then follow the TCH eastward to where the Perry River FSR meets the TCH. This is the pick up point for transporting ATVs to Revelstoke. Route 2: Follow the ATVs on the FSR to the TCH. Again this road may not be suitable for large RVs.
