ATV SAFETY COURSE INFO
Are you interested in learning skills of how to safely operate an ATV?
Are you thinking you would like to brush up on your ATV operator skills?
I am a qualified Canada Safety Council (CSC) ATV Instructor. I have taught a number of courses to ATV Club Members, Members of the CN Police and Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in a variety of Lower Mainland Detachments, Department of Fisheries Officers, Conservation Officers, private companies and individuals.
I am LMATV Club Member for the past few years.
I am keen to run some courses for Club members and others, if the interest is present.
Cost: $125 student registration (payment made by cheque or cash)
(Recently, I learned some Lower Mainland Technical Institutes offer the same course for $150 up to $300 plus.... Heard an instructor in the interior of BC offers same course for $150 per candidate)
Course takes about 8 hours to complete. Course start time is 8:00 am. Assuming all goes well, training to be completed between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
Class size: no more than 8 students per class (Adult, youth and children's classes offered on appropriately sized ATVs)

This course is geared to be totally taught in the outdoors, so dress accordingly for current and expected weather conditions. (ie rain or shine or anything in between)I can slate weekday courses as needed for those interested, just call me (cell: 604-786-7694) and we will see what we can arrange.
The courses are usually run at the location I used last year in Coquitlam near Pitt River Bridge pending confirmation. The course starts at 8:00 am and finishes between 4:00 - 5:00 pm. Lots of hands on.... ie riding
Please give this training some thought for your safety. Knowledge is a valuable thing to have out on the trail.
I am seeking names and contact numbers of persons interested in taking this course.
For those that have already successfully completed this training and would like to re-attend for a refresher at no cost, may do so providing there is room on the class list. No new certificate issued... this is just a brush up session for you prior to hitting the trails this riding year. If you chose to complete a re-fresher I would appreciate you coming along the entire course to be less disruptive to the class.
My understanding from the Insurance Broker is that when you successfully complete this training it will reduce you insurance rates each year. I encourage you to contact them for further information.
Please share this e-mail / information with others who might be interested in completing this training.
Most of the fifteen 2006 and sixteen 2007 courses were FULL so book early to ensure you get a spot.
My Goal: To provide you, the student, a safe positive learning environment where you can learn and grow with your abilities to safely operate an ATV.
If you need further information please conact me (my cell phone is 604-786-7694).
Cheers
